Custom Lab Panels: These panels include many popular lab tests as well as others used by specialists in natural health. By arranging with our lab to do this as a custom panel we save the patient money and give a more complete health assessment. Our lab panels are unique to our office and combine the best of laboratory testing with other diagnostic measures.
BloodStat Lab analysis: this is a unique one of a kind computer generated evaluation of custom lab work results that provides the patient with a printed report listing areas of your body that vary from the ideal Wellness Model and provides recommended natural nutritional supplements to correct the problem. Dr. Strehl has his own very detailed 55 point blood profile that is unmatched at other offices.
Anemia Studies are included as routine in the Bloodstat profile assess all forms of anemia, not just the hemoglobin that is so often misused. Once you have been assessed for anemia proper nutritional support can be used to correct the problem.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Labwork to assess for the various causes of chronic fatique are routinely performed in our office. Viruses are frequently found as the culprit and these can be eradicated with natural therapeutics. In some of our patients food allergies may be the cause of the fatigue and ELISA/ACT delayed allergy testing is performed.
ELISA/ACT is a blood test where the blood is drawn at our office and then sent to a lab packed in ice. Once at the lab the specific white blood cells known as lymphocytes are isolated and tested against over 350 foods, chemicals and preservatives. ELISA/ACT testing is helpful for anyone suffering from fatigue, ADD/HD, chronic sinusitis, chronic skin conditions, depression and a host of ailments.
Hormone Testing: At Strehl Natural Health we utilize numerous laboratories for more specific hormone testing so that we can better assess your specific problem. And we carry a full line of plant-based hormones to correct problems. Here is list of some of the hormone testing we provide:
Female Hormone Testing: We utilize a month long test to graph a woman's estrogen and progesterone throughout the month, as well as a three day test for menopausal women. This type of testing is far more accurate than the one time blood draw.
Adrenal glands for adrenal exhaustion.
Thyroid, not just a TSH.
Male Hormone Testing
Pap Smear: We utilize the new Sure Path liquid based version.
Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) for men.
Hair Analysis: Hair analysis is performed in our office to assess for toxic metals and substances the will need to be chelated out of your body.
Fecal Microbiology: This is a test in which we can assess you for intestinal dysbiosis and then work to restore your bowel to its normal flora.
Liver Function Study: This is a test in which we can assess both Phase I and Phase II liver cytochrome P-450 oxidase pathway.
ECG: A state-of-the-art electrocardiogram is used in our office to help detect irregular heart beats that may keep you from feeling your best. Many heart conditions are in fact a nutritional deficiency.
Ultrasound: We have a diagnostic ultrasound in the office in order to help Dr. Strehl in evaluating conditions of the thyroid, breasts, abdomen, kidneys, gallbladder, and prostate as well as prenatal assessment, etc.
Complete Examination: Our annual examinations are comprehensive and are designed to evaluate your health based on a Wellness Model rather than a Disease Model. We begin an annual examination with an update of helpful information about your health. Next we assess your eyes as that is the only place in your body that we can look directly at your arteries and veins. The ears are next so that we can evaluate whether or not you are wearing proper ear protection when around noisy machinery... or, if you attended to many rock concerts in your younger days. The lymph nodes of the head and neck are assessed to help us rule out chronic infections, dental problems and conditions of that nature. Of course, we will want to evaluate your vital signs such as temperature, pulse rate and blood pressure - we are equally interested in low blood pressure as we are in high blood pressure. We then listen to the lungs and heart, taking care to hear all of the lung areas and all four valves of the heart. The abdomen will be listened to with a stethoscope for normal bowel sounds, rushing sound of an aneurysm or the rubbing sound of an enlarged organ. Following this the abdomen will be palpated in order to identify any masses or tenderness. A prostate exam is included for men as well as a PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) blood test and breast exams including breast ultrasound as well as Pap tests (including the new SurePath liquid based version) are available for women.
